11,000 trees planted, 34 hectares reforested. Our commitment to the environment goes beyond our activity. For this reason, we made addition efforts such as the planting of trees, through the CSR 'SIGAUS Forest' project, to achieve greater environmental benefits and to compensate the emission of greenhouse gases, thus favouring the absorption of CO2 and the fight against climate change.

Eleventh SIGAUS Forest
1000 trees - Ash – 90 kg CO2/20 years/foot.
The new green lung consists of a plantation of 1,000 ash trees that will help to reduce CO2 emissions and provide a natural area for local residents to enjoy. This new SIGAUS Forest is located on a 3.2-hectare plot in the Vega del Arroyo de la Fresnera, in the Monte Sur area of the Madrid town Boadilla del Monte.
Tenth SIGAUS Forest
1000 Aleppo pine, white mulberry, common ash, almond and hackberry trees.

Ninth SIGAUS Forest
1000 trees - Aleppo pine - 31 kg of CO2/20 years/foot
This new urban forest, which can now be enjoyed by the inhabitants of the city of Toledo, is located on a 3.3-hectare plot of land in the La Legua neighbourhood. The forest consists of 1,000 Aleppo pines, a very efficient CO2 absorbing species that can reach a height of 20 metres in adulthood and whose wood is mainly used for cellulose production.
Eighth SIGAUS Forest
980 trees - Stone pine - 60 kg CO2/20 years/foot
20 trees - Alepo pine - 31 kg de CO2/20 years/foot
Located on the street, Alfonso X El Sabio, in the municipality of Villalbilla, this green area comprising of 4.2 hectares tries to mitigate the sound pollution caused by the AVE travelling through this town. This area is home to 1,000 trees, 980 of the Pinus pinea species (Stone pine) and 20 of the Pinus halepensis species (Aleppo pine), two of the most efficient varieties in terms of CO2 absorption.
Seventh SIGAUS Forest
1,000 trees - Stone pine - 60 kg CO2/20 years/footThis green space is made up of a 25,000 m2 plot located in the Santa Teresa neighborhood of Colmenar Viejo, between Avenida Adolfo Suárez and Avenida del Mediterráneo. It houses 1,000 stone pines, a species that can grow up to 30 meters in height and that gives very good shade thanks to its rounded and flattened crown.

Fifth SIGAUS Forest
1,000 trees - Stone pine - 60 kg CO2/20 years/foot
This urban forest is located in the public plot of Solagua, in the town of Leganés. A green space of 29,700 m2 with 1,000 trees from the stone pine species, one of the most effective for cleaning CO2 from the atmosphere, with the ability to absorb, at adult age, up to 60 kg of CO2 after 20 years per foot (11).
Fourth SIGAUS Forest
1,000 trees - Aleppo pine - 31 kg CO2/20 years/foot
In the Madrid town of Coslada, the SIGAUS Forest hosts, in a space of 32,550 m2, 1,000 trees from the Pinus halepensis species (Aleppo pine), one of the most efficient trees for the absorption of CO2, capable of absorbing, at adult age, up to 31 kg of carbon dioxide after 20 years per foot.
Third SIGAUS Forest
1,000 trees - Umbrella pine - 60 kg CO2/20 years/foot
This forest is located in the Natural Area of Lazarejo, a forest area in the Madrid town of Las Rozas in the process of reforestation and conservation. It hosts 1,000 stone pine trees distributed throughout a space of 32,439 m2 in the areas of Playa de Laga and Playa del Sardinero, two public domain plots that form part of this natural area of Las Rozas.
