The second edition of the 'Plant Life with SIGAUS 2' communication campaign led to the planting of a new 'SIGAUS Forest' as an online social awareness initiative on the importance of recovering and recycling used industrial oil in Spain, creating a correlation with the planting of trees. For this, we developed an interactive game on social media where the users had to plant and care for their own virtual tree for 24 days, with the prize of receiving a real tree with the name of each winner in the 'SIGAUS Forest'.

Thanks to the collaboration agreement with the Monte del Pilar de Majadahonda Trust, with express consent from Narciso de Foxá Alfaro, Chairman of the Monte del Pilar de Majadahonda Trust and Mayor of Majadahonda, and Eduardo de Lecea Echevarri, CEO of SIGAUS, the creation of the new forest was possible in this public forest park of great ecological value.

The creation of this new tree-filled space was fully financed by SIGAUS, taking care of the planting, the installation of an irrigation network and the maintenance for the first year. After the planting, on October 29th, we celebrated the inauguration event with a visit from the Mayor of Majadahonda and the intervention of a group of school students from the town.
