• Manufacturers and marketers of lubricant oils. The declaration of the state of alarm does not imply any limitation to the ordinary action of the manufacturers of industrial oils adhered to SIGAUS (material manufacturers, importers or intra-community purchasers), except for the retail sale of these products, through commercial establishments whose opening hours to the public have been suspended.

Such prohibition does not, therefore, affect the activity of manufacturing, importing or acquiring industrial oil in the EU, nor its transportation and distribution in the wholesale market.

• Managers or used oils. The declaration of the state of alarm does not affect the collection and transport of used oils since the restrictive measures on the transport of RD 463/2020 only refer to the transport of passengers.

Neither does it imply any alteration of the recovery operations of the collected used oils.

• Automotive repair workshops. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they can continue to exercise their activity in relation to vehicle maintenance operations, including those that involve changing lubricant oil, as their activity is not included among those subject to the restrictions of the aforementioned RD 463/2020.

• SIGAUS, as a collective system of extended producer responsibility, will continue to guarantee the financing of the management operations of used oils in Spain as usual, giving continuity to the management of this hazardous waste where necessary.
