‘Universo SIGAUS’ launches to optimise energy consumption in the network of waste oil management companies
SIGAUS has reached an agreement with Astro, a company specialising in energy efficiency, with the aim of enabling its network of more than 160 waste industrial oil management companies to monitor and optimise their energy consumption, reduce costs and lower emissions associated with waste collection, storage and treatment operations thanks to the technology developed by Astro.

Astro is an energy intelligence platform that helps companies understand and reduce their energy consumption and associated costs. Its technology will enable companies that are part of the SIGAUS management network to consolidate data on consumption, contracts and energy supplies, providing a comprehensive overview of energy use at each of their facilities — storage centres and waste oil treatment plants. Based on this analysis, the platform proposes specific actions that can generate savings of up to 25% in energy costs and improve operational control.

Astro connects to meters, bills and measurement systems in facilities via APIs and specialised hardware, enabling the automatic collection of real energy consumption data.
