A free service throughout the entire territory
Thanks to the financing that we get from our adhered companies, we guarantee the universality of the used industrial oil collection service, covering all automotive repair shops registered as producers of hazardous waste, no matter their location in Spain or the generated volume.
Due to this service, in 2023 there were 102,788 collection operations serving 36,116 establishments and providing service to nearly 4,800 municipalities. We are committed to providing a free collection service to car repairs regardless of oil market fluctuations and any possible effects these can have on the value of used industrial oil.
SIGAUS financing implies an obligation for managers to collect the waste oil for free for the producer, provided that the waste meets a number of conditions that makes its standard treatment possible.

Used oil specifications
According to current regulation, authorised managers are duty bound to offer a free collection service to car repairs, as long as generated waste meets a series of specifications which ensure it can be properly treated:
- Water content below 10%.
- Sediment content below 2%.
- Flashpoint above a certain temperature (may vary between 70 and 120°C).
- Chlorine content less than 2,000 - 3,000 parts per million.
- PCB content less than 50 parts per million.
