With a total of seven stages and 350 teams, next March 2nd, the 10th edition of the Panda Raid will launch, the long-distance amateur rally where the main requirement is the use of a Seat Marbella or Panda model and to cross the south of Morocco.
Over these 3,000 kilometers, the SIGAUS team will cross the desert with the objective of completing “kilometers for the environment” and simultaneously providing solidarity aid to the most disadvantaged areas of the country by delivery school materials to children in the towns along the route. In this way, the Entity reinforces its social commitment and its focus on helping with development beyond its environmental awareness work.

Through social media and its own blog, SIGAUS will report in real time on the progress of the race, the completed stages and all of the experiences of the drivers during this adventure.

Although prior experience as an expert rally driver is not necessary in order to participate in the Panda Raid, the terrain becomes more complicated as the stages go on, therefore all of the participants will have the support of a logistical team who will be responsible for the good development of the race from a discreet background, and will only intervene when necessary. Panda Raid will test the physical abilities of the drivers as well as their level of camaraderie and mechanical knowledge, precisely intending for the adventure to take place in a scenario away from the noise and technological dependency.
In this race speed is not important, nor earning a good time, but rather the aim is to reach the goal having overcome the challenges presented during the route. With the support of this rally, SIGAUS also seeks a commitment to the environment so that, once the CO2 emissions released to the atmosphere during the race have been calculated by the organisation, the Entity can compensate for them, together with the GoodPlanet Foundation, by investing an amount equivalent to said emissions in maintaining the biodiversity of the Mesguina forest, in Agadir, a space where 150 farmers practice beekeeping in over 3,000 beehives, producing one of the most valued honeys in Morocco and creating a significant source of income for the residents.
Over 8 days, Panda Raid will travel through the Moroccan desert, attempting to balance economic development with environmental protection and raising awareness among the participants and the local population of the importance of contributing to the conservation of our ecosystems. SIGAUS joined this challenge so that it could be possible.
