The signing ceremony at the FUAM offices located in the Ciudad Universitaria de Cantoblanco was also attended by Professor Jaime Cuevas Rodriguez, from the Department of Geology and Geochemistry in the Faculty of Sciences of the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), Carlos Garcia Delgado, the new coordinator of the UAM Masters, Teresa Elizalde, Director of the Support Center for Training, Talent and Employability (CAFTE) and Ainhöa Lizarbe, Director of Communication and Institutional Relations of SIGAUS.

The UAM master's degree is a postgraduate program that trains professional experts in the management of waste, both solid and liquid, in all its facets. It offers highly practical training with a strong business projection. With SIGAUS training, the students of this master's degree will have the opportunity to learn first-hand how industrial waste oil is managed in Spain, and how it is a good example of Circular Economy, as it is transformed from waste into a resource.

The SIGAUS Environmental Classroom offers students training with a theoretical component covering waste management and the different types of treatments that waste oil is subjected to in order to be recovered and returned to the market, as well as a visit to a treatment plant where students can see in situ how this waste is handled on a daily basis.
