Within the framework of the actions undertaken as the IMS of waste oils, SIGAUS will bear the payment of costs to transfer to mainland Spain waste oils collected in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands.

Until the present time, this situation has been handled with the payment of a set amount (69.02€/t) for shipments of “Canary Freight”, paid to the final handlers of the aforesaid waste oils, as this group had assumed the duties involving the transfer of the product from the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands to their respective installations.

Nonetheless, for waste oils in which it has been duly accredited that their shipping has taken place from the Canary Islands from the 1st of April 2016 onwards, SIGAUS, to facilitate the handling of said residues, has agreed to pay the aforementioned amounts for “Canary Freight” directly to the collectors that expressly request this service, whenever they assume under their exclusive liability (particularly insomuch as the economic costs) all of the actions and expenditure derived from the transfer of the waste oil product from the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands and provide proof to SIGAUS that said transfers have been made.

This payment will be applicable for calendar fiscal quarters until the requesting collector states otherwise.

Without prejudice to this general notification, SIGAUS will issue an individual notification to all waste oil handlers affected.
