SIGAUS unveils its work in the 29th Edition of the BIEMH
The Company was present in the most recent edition of the Spanish Biannual Tool-Machinery Fair held in the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) from the 30th of May to the 4th of June, in which the main manufacturers and importers of tool-machinery and technology representing the industry were in attendance. The SIGAUS received more than 2,000 visitors, who obtained detailed information on the handling of used industrial oil services or the free collection service for the residues guaranteed by the SIG, amongst other aspects.

The industrial sector is one of the main areas of SIGAUS’s activity, which already encompasses 10.000 used oil manufacturers. It is for this reason that BIEMH, as well as being the Spain’s main trade fair in its sector and the third largest in Europe, is an unmissable event for the Company, as it has taken part in the last three editions.
On this occasion, SIGAUS had a stand measuring 60 m2 which received more than 2,000 visitors over the six days that the event lasted, seeing professional, students and the public in general pass through its doors. Through the use of explanatory materials and diverse informative videos, SIGAUS explained to attendees how it handles used industrial oils, and how through its used industrial oils management network this can be collected free of charge from any point in Spain. Likewise, and by using an explanatory model, the stand’s visitors were able to see first-hand the different treatment methods to which reside is submitted and the environmental benefits resulting from the foregoing.
Similarly, companies which deal with or import industrial oils or their components were informed of the legal obligations that are their duty once the product has ended its working life. The latter creating major levels of interest with regard to the handling of used lubricants, as this a type of residue whose complexity implies a different series of economic conditions when undertaking their handling.

SIGAUS attended for the third time in a row the Bilbao Machine Tool Biennial, an edition that increased its number of visitors by 13% compared to the previous edition.

The most resounding event so far
The 29th edition of the BIEMH has closed its doors with very successful levels of participation. 40,000 people have visited this benchmark event in the industrial sector, which means a 13% increase in comparison with last year’s event, figures that endorse the recovery of the industry. As well as being attended by a large number of local visitors, the fair also welcomed 45% of professionals visiting from outside the Basque Country forming the total of national and international attendees.
According to the organisers, this has been the most successful event held in recent times, with this clearly being seen by the 1,533 exhibiting firms from more than thirty different countries offering 2,605 products and an estimated economic impact valued at 36 million euros.
The sectors that have awoken the greatest levels of interest were metallic components, accessories for machinery tools, hydraulic components and tyres, cutting machinery tools or electrical and electronic equipment, amongst others.
